The Tshaluna trekking in Bhutan is one of the shortest treks in Bhutan. It is 4 days trek in Bhutan and is moderately difficult. This trek is popular in Bhutan due to the shorter and alternative to the Druk Path trek. The trek offers beautiful and awesome views of the Himalayan Mountains as you cross. It starts from Paro and ends at Thimphu valley. This route is also famous for its spectacular rhododendron forests and wonderful high-altitude lakes abundant with trout fish.

Best time to Trek Tshaluna Trekking in Bhutan

It starts from March till Mid September. You can trek to mid-December also. The best time would be April and May if you want to see rhododendron flowers

4 Days outline itinerary for Tshaluna Trekking in Bhutan

Day One: Arrival Paro with an altitude of 2200m. Paro and Sightseeing

Day Two: Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is 7 Km uphill maximum and downhill after the visit. It takes nearly 4 hours.

Day Three: Paro to Jele Dzong. It will take three hours to reach the Dzong. Total 8 km. The Dzong is at an elevation of 3480m.

Day  Four: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha. Which is 10 km with  4 hours. You will be camp at an altitude of 3770 m.

Day Five: Jangchulakha to Jimilangtso, which takes four hours of trekking with 11 km. At an altitude of 3700 m.

Day Six: Jimilangtsho to Tshaluna and finally  Thimphu city. It is 9 km with 4 hours trekking and additional two hours car drive. Overnight Thimphu hotel.

Day Seven: Full day Thimphu sightseeing. Thimphu is at an altitude of 2334 m. For One day of sightseeing, which includes Bhutan Buddha, Thimphu Memorial Chorten, Simply Bhutan, Sangaygang viewpoint, Takin Reserve center, Bhutan Post Museum, Royal Textile Museum, and so on as per the time.

Day Eight: Thimphu to Punakha and back to Thimphu. It is a 76 Km drive one-way and back 76km. One-way drive rive 2 1/2 hours.

The Tshaluna trek cost for different group

2 Pax which means two people in a group US $ 2080.00 per person.
3 Pax and above which means a three-person and above group size US $ 1840.00 per person.
11 – 15 pax which we can provide 50 % discount for one person and Druk/Tashi Airlines fare for one person.
16 pax and above will provide a 100 % discount for one person.

Tshaluna Tour Cost Includes

  • All Meals include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & evening tea/snacks.
  • Accommodation on twin sharing tent and room. Single room and tent supplement extra.
  • All transportation providing standard transport within the country including airport transfers.
  • Royalty US$65.00 per person per night & Government taxes.

Tshaluna Tour Cost Excludes

  • Airfare in and out.

  • Payments for service are provided on a personal basis and additional of any kind.

  • Personal expenses such as laundry, soft drinks, Camera Charges, Incidentals, Portage, Bellboy charges tips, or any other services.
