The rainy season during Mid-June and July should be avoided because of the weather prevailing. The southern belt will not be good as the western belt of Bhutan because rainfall is heavy in the southern belt. The monsoon season in Bhutan is not as bad as in India. June July and August Season- Off-Season

Monsoon season during June and July is the low season in Bhutan but tourists enjoy the season. Tourists from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, and many countries travel to Bhutan. Monsoon in Bhutan is not like India. Most of the places to visit in Bhutan are Western Bhutan and Central Bhutan. You can fly by Druk Air if you are moving towards Eastern Bhutan. Low-altitude areas(Southern belt of Bhutan) are under monsoon during June, July, and till Mid August. Monsoon in the western part of Bhutan and the central part of Bhutan is not as bad as in the Indian States of India. We don’t recommend traveling the Southern belt of Bhutan.

During the Monsoon, we recommend that tourists to travel Bhutan for a week and can travel to the Central part of Bhutan by domestic flight. The central part is considered Switzerland in the east. Traveling to the central part of Bhutan during the monsoon is not recommended by us.

Jambay Lhakhang Drup is a famous Festival because of its naked dance. It is held in Bumthang. The temple is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.

The best time to visit Taksang Monastery is any time. Start early morning so that you will not be exhausted due to the sun. The high-altitude sun will burn your skin. Apply anti-insect cream and sun cream for protection. During April and May, it is beautiful because of the blooming of Rhododendron flowers. For Photographer it is good to move according to the movement of the sun. It will be beautiful during the evening hours to get a beautiful shoot.

Kyichu Lhakhang

Kyichu Lhakhang Bhutan is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. It was built in 659 AD by the Tibetan Emperor Songtsen Gampo. It is one of the 108 temples he built in Bhutan. The main reason for the construction of the temple was to pin down ‘the left foot of the Ogress’, which was going against the establishment of Buddhism in the Himalayas. Kyichu is said to be one of the main 12 temples out of the 108 temples that were built overnight across Tibet and the borderlands. it was built on the left foot of the giant Ogress. It was built within a day. It is considered “a secret jewel of Bhutan”.It is north of Paro Town 7 kilometers car drive from the main town Paro.
