Hike to Paro Taktsang the sacred monastery for Buddhists. Paro Rinpung Dzong and National Museum of Bhutan in Paro. The gigantic Buddha statue, which is one of the largest in the World measuring 159 feet facing the Thimphu Valley. Punakha Dzong on the banks of two rivers. Other main beautiful stays in Luxurious stays at Aman, Uma, or other luxury resorts in Bhutan.

Detail Itinerary for Bhutan Luxury Tour Package

Day 1- Arrive in Paro-Thimphu

After arrival at Paro International airport, you will be received by our representatives from Bhutan Himalayan Holidays. Transfer to the capital city Thimphu, which takes 1 1/2 hour car drive through the Valley of Paro and Thimphu.

After getting to Thimphu, you will be check-in at your hotel. After refreshments, the guide will take you around Thimphu for sightseeing. Thimphu Sightseeing will include Thimphu Memorial Chorten, Buddha Statue &  folk heritage museum.

The first overnight will be at Amankora Thimphu. Overnight in  Amankora Thimphu or  COMO Uma Paro

Day 2- Sightsee in Thimphu

After breakfast, you will be undergoing Thimphu sightseeing places. You will visit a nailless 17th-century fortress called the Tashichoedzong. The fortress is the seat of the government which houses the office of the King of Bhutan. It also houses the monastic body and office of Cheif About of Bhutan.

Visit the traditional Jungshi handmade paper factory Bhutan. Visit the authentic craft bazaar in Thimphu.  If you are free you can take a short hike from Sanggang the viewpoint towards the north of Thimphu. Back to the hotel or stroll downtown for shopping or hopping the shops. Overnight in Amon or Uma in Thimphu. Dinner in Hotel or Taj-Tashi.

Day 3- Drive to Punakha

After an early breakfast, you will be driving towards Punakha. It is 2-hours drive from Thimphu. En route to Dochula pass(3100m) to enjoy the scenery snow-capped Himalayan Mountains. You can see 108 stupas and Druk Wangyel Lhakhang. Descending another 1 and a half hours you pass through the ancient village of Wangdue and Punakha valley.

At Punakha, you will be visiting Punakha Dzong on two rivers. Other attractions include crossing Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge. If we have time we can check the farmhouses in Punakha.  Overnight in Amon Punakha or Uma Punakha.

Day 4- Drive to Phobjikha

After breakfast drive from Punakha To Phubjikha Enroute Wangdue and Gangtey Goenpa. The day will start early. On the way visit the famous Fertility Temple located in the beautiful village Lobesa. Drive towards Wangdi Phodrang and can see The Wangdue Dzong on the hilltop. After driving for few hours you will enter the Gangtey Goenpa area and finally the glacial Valley of  Phobjikha.

If you are interested in doing a nature hike you can take the trek route name Gangtey Nature Trail from Gangtey Goenpa. Phobjikha valley is also known as the home of the black-necked cranes, the endangered bird species. These endangered birds fly to the valley during late fall through winter. They again fly back to Tibet during the spring season. Visit the crane information center. Drive to Amankora or Gangtey Lodge for night halt.

Day 5- Drive to Paro

After early breakfast drive to Paro en route Wangdue, Dochula pass, Thimphu. After reaching Paro, you will visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong. The Dzong was built in hillock to defend from the invaders. You will also visit the National Museum of Bhutan just above the Rinpung Dzong.

You can visit Shops in Paro Town for last-minute souvenir shopping. After sightseeing, you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight in  COMO Uma Paro or Amankora Paro.

Day 6- Hike to Paro Taktshang

After breakfast hike to the Tiger’s Nest monastery. The hike takes about 3 hours uphill. After reaching Monastery to come down it will take another one hour to the car parking.

The monastery is located at an elevation of 3000 ft above Paro valley. Once at the top of the monastery you can see and enjoy the panoramic view of Paro valley. Overnight in Uma Paro or Amon resort Paro. You can enjoy the Bhutanese traditional hot stone bath.

Day 7- Depart from Paro

After breakfast, you will be driven to Paro International Airport for an outbound journey. End of Bhutan luxury tour package for 7 Days.
