    This six-day trek or Dagala Thousand lakes Trek takes you to a place with a large number of beautiful and clear lakes. As you trek in the midst of beautiful lakes you’ll see the Himalayan mountain range and the world’s most renowned Mt. Everest, Jomolhari, Masang Gang, Jichu Drake, Gangche Ta, and some more. The best time to trek is between April-June and September –October.

    During the Dagala Thousand lakes trek, an entire day will be dedicated to visiting and seeing picturesque lakes. The trail also takes you through several Bhutanese villages so you can get a good idea of traditional Bhutanese village life.

    The trek is strenuous, it is well worth it because of the tranquility and beauty of the natural landscape. After completing the trek you will drive to Thimphu. If we have time you will be undergoing Thimphu sightseeing places

    Itinerary

    Day 1Gynekha – Gur

    Total Distance: 7 km
    Time: 5 hours.
    Camp site altitude: 3,290 m.

    The trek begins at Gynekha village. As you trek, where you have a beautiful view of the valley. After two hours you will reach Gur, a region of yak fields.

    Day 2Gur – Labatama

    Total Distance: 12 km.
    Time: 5 hours.
    Camp Altitude: 4,300 m.

    On the second day of the trek the trail take you over the high edges of mountain. You will see the fabulous view of mount Kanjenjunga of Sikkim,India and some of the Bhutanese Himalayan mountains. The campsite is around the lake.

    Day 3Labatama

    The third day will be devoted to unwinding and recovering at Labatama. It is amazing to take trip to any of three lakes: Reli Tsho, Hen Tsho and Jama Tsho. You will see trout fish around the lakes.

    Day 4Labatama – Panka

    Total distance for fourth day 8 km.
    Time: 6-7 hours.
    Camp Altitude: 4,000 m.

    The trek goes towards Dala Lake at the elevation of 4,520m. From here you will have an awesome view of Himalayan ranges. You will see beautiful and panoramic views of Mt. Everest (Nepal), Mt. Kanchenjunga (Sikkim), Mt. Jomolhari, Mt. Jichu Drake, Mt. Tshering Gang, Mt. Khangbum, Mt. Masang Gang, Mt. Tsende Gang and Mt. Gangche Ta. You can climb up to the height of 4,720m of elevation. You will be passing some yak herder cottages to Doccha River.

    If everyone is acclimatizing well, we may carry on across hillsides lined with rhododendron to Pagalabsta La Pass (4170m) for fine views of the Dagala range. Continue downwards to a stone yak herders hut at Wataching (4100m). Overnight at campsite.

    Day 5Panka - Talakha

    Distance: 8 km.
    Time: 5-6 hours.
    Camp Altitude: 3,080 m.

    The fifth day of the trek will cross few passes.

    Day 6Talakha – Chamgang

    Distance: 6 km.
    Time: 3 hours

    From the religious community area you will reach the feeder street of Chamgang small town. From there car drive to Thimphu city.
