In Thimphu, the sightseeing includes National Memorial Chorten, Buddha statue 169 feet facing Thimphu Valley, the National Library, the arts and crafts school, and Tashichhoedzong.
The western part of Bhutan also includes the Wangdi district and Punakha district. You will be crossing the Dochula Pass with an elevation of 3050m. Further into the sub-tropical Punakha Valley. Punakha places of visit include incredible the Punakha fortress and Chimi temple. From Punakha, it is just 15 KM to reach Wangdue fortress. The fortress is under renovation due to the destruction of fire.

Day One – Arrival Paro
On arrival at Paro International Airport by Druk Air Flight for 4 Nights 5 Days Bhutan Tour Package. Our representatives from Bhutan Himalayan Holidays will be there to receive you with “Tashi Khada” traditional way of receiving our guest. Check into hotel 3 star.
Paro sightseeing after arrival.
The first day starts visit will be Ta Dzong fortress built in 1656 and renovated in 1968. The watchtower was converted into National Museum of Bhutan. Below the National Museum is the Paro Rinpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”) which was built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel(founder of Bhutan). The Fortress is the administrative and religious houses for Paro district . A short car drive or walk take you to the base of the Rinpung Dzong and across a traditional cantilever bridge. Stroll in Paro Town. Overnight in Paro Paro. 3 star category hotel. Dinner in hotel.
Day Two- Paro Taksang Day Hike

Second day tour for 4 Nights 5 Days Bhutan Tour Package will start the day with Hike to Taksang Monastery. A short drive to Satsam Chorten base for 4 Nights 5 Days Bhutan Tour Package.. The round trip is 3-4 hrs.The trail climbs through beautiful pine & rhododendron forest. Most of the trees covered with moss and lichens. You can smell clean air and hear fluttering of prayer flags. You will stop for a rest and light refreshments of tea and snacks at Taktsang cafeteria. The view point will provide you with good photography of Paro Taksang on the granite rock. The Tiger Nest on the granite rock cliff located 900 meters above Paro valley(2200m). The legend goes on that Guru Padmasambhava, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan, who flew to Paro from Eastern part of Bhutan on the back of a flying tigress( Dorji Drolo).
Drukgyel Dzong
Visit Drugyel Dzong, ‘Bhutan’s victory fort’, overlooking the traditional beautiful village with Mount Jumolhari in the background. Now it is under renovation.
Kichu Lhakhang
Visit Kichu Lhakhang one of oldest monastery in Bhutan. The Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo in the 7th century miraculously built 108 temples. Kichu is considered to be one of the sacred temple in Bhutan.
Drive to Thimphu
Second day tour 4 Nights 5 Days Bhutan Tour Package ends with drive to Thimphu(2350m), which takes nearly 1 1/2 hour car drive. On the way you will be passing through traditional Bhutanese houses. Bhutanese farmhouses are colorful, decorative and traditionally built without any nails or iron bars. Almost all the farmhouses follow the same architectural pattern. Over night: Hotel in Thimphu. Hotel 3-4 star category recognized by TCB(Tourism Council of Bhutan).
Day Three-Thimphu – (Sightseeing)

After breakfast sightseeing in Thimphu valley starting with visit to National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honour of our late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. Visit gigantic Buddha statue 169 feet in Thimphu. Visit Changangkha Monastery: (This monastery was built in 15th century by the Lama Phajo Drugom Zhipo) where the new born child of Thimphu valley is taken to receive 1st blessing from a High Lama. Visit Mini Zoo, where Takin(our national animal of Bhutan). Drive to Sangaygang, where you can see view of Thimphu Valley. Visit National Library,Folk Heritage Museum, Indigenous Hospital and painting school.
Afternoon Thimphu sightseeing
After lunch visit Dupthop Lhakhang one of the few surviving nunneries in Bhutan. Other highlights include a visit to the TashichhoDzong, seat of the national government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan).Visit Sunday market (if the day falls on Friday,Saturday and Sunday) of Thimphu(Farmers Centenary Market). Cross traditional wooden bridge, there you see handicrafts. Witness Archery tournament.Visit Bhutanese paper factory at work. Evening free for shopping for souvenirs in the shops of Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu : 3-4 star category of Hotel certified by Tourism Council of Bhutan.
Day Four – Thimphu- Day Excursion to Punakha (Sightseeing).
Third day for 4 Nights 5 Days Bhutan Tour Package will start with car drive to Punakha(77km) 2 ½ hrs car drive via Dochula pass(3050m). You will see 108 stupas which were built by our grand queens. Druk Wangyel Lhakhang is near to 108 stupas. If the weather is clear, we stop for a while at Dochula pass (3050m) to view Higher Himalayas.
Visit ChimI Lhakhang. The Temple is also known as “the Temple of Fertility”. After lunch visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and is situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). Lunch in Punakha . Evening drive to Thimphu. Overnight-in Thimphu. Dinner in Hotel. 3-4 star category.
Day 5 Thimphu-Paro(outbound journey)
The last day of the Bhutan Tour package ends. Bhutan Himalayan Holidays representatives will drive you to Paro International airport for outbound journey.
