Wild East Rodung La Trek or 10 Days Trek in Bhutan does not cross high heights. The trek is difficult as the trail goes up and down. The trek takes you from Bumthang the central region of Bhutan to Eastern Bhutan Trashiyangtse.
The trail passes through the snow-capped mountains and bamboo woodlands. It passes through towns and wild sanctuaries offering diverse biodiversity. First day of the trek from Jakar to Ngang Lhakhang. The Distance covered for the day is 20 km. It takes 6-7 hours and you camp at the height of 2,800 m.
The trail takes you to the Chamkhar River in Bumthang. The stream got trout. When you are passing Thangbi Lhakhang, a sanctuary worked by Karma Shamar. You will again enter Ngang Yul or ‘Swan Land”. Close to the focal point of this region you will see Ngang Lhakhang, the “Swan Temple”.
From Ngang Lhakhang to Ugyenchholing. The Campsite Altitude is 2,850 m elevation.
You will be crossing Phephe La pass (3,353m). You will be passing through a beautiful forested place. You will stop for the night halt at Ogyen Choling Manor. These villas are among the most intriguing galleries in Bhutan. The guests will pick up a superior comprehension of the lives of the landed nobility family of Bhutanese society.
From Ugyen Choling to Phokphey. On the third day, the distance covered is 17 km, which takes time of 5-6 hours. You will camp at an altitude of 3,680 m. Today’s walk is through the bamboo forest, hemlock trees, and snow-capped woodland
From Phokphey to Pemi. The total distance covered for the 4th Day of the trek is 20 km and takes nearly 6-7 hours. You will ascent 480 m and you camp at an elevation of 1,160 m.
To reach Rodung La (4,160m) from the campsite will take three hours. From the Rodungla pass, you proceed downhill through a canyon. You can see beautiful mountain valleys shrouded in the thick pine forest. Close to the camp, site you can see a destroyed stone building that once went about as a grain storage facility.
From Pemi to Khaine Lakhang. The total distance covered for day 5 is 21 km and takes 7-8 hours trying to reach the campsite. You will ascent 350 m and 1,340 m descent. You will camp at an altitude of 2,010 m.
This trail winds through the towns of Ungaar, Bulay, Kulaypang, and Gomda before conveying you to Drula town and Khaine Lhakhang. One of the most established sanctuaries in the nation, it was implicit in the mid-seventh century by King Songtshen Gampo of Tibet to quell devils.
From Khaine Lakhang – Tangmachu. Distance 18 km, 6-7 hours, 520 m ascent, 810 m descent, camp altitude 1,720 m.
From your camp, the trail goes down to a stream and moves down to a fundamental well-being unit and a group school in Gorsam. Promote on, you pass a Tibetan-style Umling Mani, worked by a lama from Tibet, and a Chorten on Zerim La (1,940m). Before achieving the following pass, Tage La (1,760m) you will see Menjabi, a lovely Bhutanese town with substantial white houses. The campground for the night is found southeast of Tage La close to Tangmachu High School. Another probability is to arrange transport and drive to Lhuentse, the capital of the Lhuentse region. From Tangmachu – Menji. Distance 16 km, 4-5 hours, 690 m ascent, 620 m descent, camp altitude 1,830 m. In the wake of landing at Kuri Zampa, the trek starts to continuously ascend through paddy fields and towns before conveying you to Chusa.
Menji – Pemi. Distance 20 km, 5-6 hours, 620 m ascent, camp altitude 2,450 m.
Today’s trek has you proceed with tough through thick backwoods disregarding terrific mountains. The camp is situated in a forested range at a height of 2,400m.
Pemi – Taupang. Distance 21 km, 7-8 hours, 1,450 m ascent, 1,450 m descent, camp altitude 2,450 m.

Taupang – Trashi Yangtse, Distance 24 km, 8-9 hours, 720 m descent.

The last camp of the trek is situated in a subtropical forested area. At the end of the 10-day trek in Bhutan, you got the option of flying back to Paro Airport from Yunpola Airport. You can also drive back to Paro from Trashi Yangtse.
While you do trekking from the western part of Bhutan to the Eastern part of Bhutan. it will be better if you add up more days during your stay in Bhutan. You get a chance to do sightseeing in Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Bumthang. You will be reaching Paro because of the only international airport in Paro.
One of the best sightseeing places to visit in Paro will be Hike to Taksang Monastery. The hike will interesting and allow you to acclimatize before you trekking in Bhutan.
